What we love most is the intersection of both. Sometimes the best way to convey an abstract concept is through a real-life example. The Team
Juan Rendon
Director, Producer
Juan Rendon is a producer (pga) and writer with extensive experience in the production of narrative films, documentaries, serial television, and digital media. He wrote and produced Paraiso Travel, one of Colombia’s best selling and most critically acclaimed films that premiered in the Tribeca Film Festival in 2008. Since then he has produced documentaries and docu-series that have aired on HBO Zone, Fusion, Univision, TVE and Frontline on PBS. Rape in the Fields, a documentary he co-produced with Frontline, was awarded the Dupont Award in 2013. Other of his pieces have been nominated to The International Emmys, The News and Documentary Emmys, and numerous others. His latest project as Executive Producer is El Candidato, a bilingual spy thriller set in Mexico City that premiered on Amazon in 2020. During the past four years, he and Natalie Osma were the lead cultural consultants for Encanto, the Disney animated musical set in Colombia that won the Academy Award for Best Animated picture in 2022. He is currently developing a dramatic fictional series about the intricate and fascinating guerrilla war in Colombia.
Natalie Osma
Director, Producer
Natalie Osma is an experienced international producer (pga) and line producer who’s dynamic and diverse background is informed by working in the USA, Europe and Latin America in the fiction and non fiction genres. She has produced more than 100 music videos and commercials. The mini-series Operation Checkmate, for which she was the Line Producer, won the Silver FIPA at the 2012 Biarritz International Festival of Audiovisual programing and was nominated for an International Emmy Award in 2011. She also produced and directed the documentary Imagining Zootopia which followed the creative process within Disney Animation Studio during two and a half years to create the revolutionary film that won the Oscar for Best Animated Feature in 2017.
During the past four years, she and Juan Rendon were the lead cultural consultants for Encanto, the Disney animated musical set in Colombia that won the Academy Award for Best Animated picture in 2022. Her latest project as Executive Producer is Coyotl, series for HBOmax.
